Manufactured from special optical glass according to DiN 12847 standard. it is possible to count different types of cells such as leukocyte, erythrocytes with simple methods under a microscope.Tolerance of the depth of the chamber does not exceeds 2 %. Counting grids are engraved into two polished surfaces at the central station. Alternative 2 chambers: “Neubauer - improved” chamber with grid consists of 3 x3 large squares with areas of 1 mm² each. “Thoma - new” chamber with 0,1mm depth. The grid covers an area of 1,1 x 1,1 mm². Supplied in a polystyrene box together with two haemocytometer cover glasses.
